GEAR Campaign in South and Southeast Asia

The organizations actively working for the GEAR Campaign in South Asia and Southeast Asia urge governments and non-government organizations to support the creation of a composite entity for gender equality and the empowerment of women in the United Nations at the soonest possible time. The South Asia and Southeast Asia GEAR Campaign coordinates with governments and NGOs and is pushing for the establishment of participation mechanisms for civil society, particularly women’s organizations, in the new entity. It is also pushing for strong country level presence and operational capacity of the new entity.
